Live Baby Live - Week of Feb. 5

livebabylivebanner3.jpg

It seems pretty appropriate that we just had Groundhog Day, given that we're feeling a little bit like Bill Murray looking at the concert listings this week. Not only is there very little going on, but most of the bands who are playing seem to be here every week (Apostle of Hustle, The Tragically Hip, Hostage Life, Friendly Rich). Thus, we have nothing left to say about them! So if you've already seen these shows, it is advised that you take this time to rest up because the end of February and month of March are going to be insane for loads of high quality live music.

If there's a great show we missed, let us know in the comments. Tips and recommendations can also be emailed to carrie@torontoist.com.

some shows to look forward to this spring...

the long winters @ el mocambo 3/27
the black angels @ horseshoe 4/12
the frames @ phoenix 4/20

Sigh...

+nurse @ The Bovine, Thursday Feb 8th, $5

Don't forget the Vandermark 5 at the The Music Gallery on Friday the 9th.

I really want to see Razorlight at the Mod Club but can't cause its a day before my 19th birthday, and its especially sad as I know its going to be a good show. Would anyone happen to know if the Mod Club Theatre is really strict on ID-ing at their 19+ concerts? But, luckily, I have Kaiser Chiefs to look forward to on April 18th @ Kool Haus.

I thought they started selling Razorlight tickets THIS saturday so I waited and it turns out theyve been seeling for two weeks and there all sold out :( its very depressing to see people selling them for 90+ on the internet...

I don't know if they are strict at the mod club, but you should use someone else's id, i wouldnt thik they'd be too fussy...
