Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It’s our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

The Flickr stream of Toronto photographer Pensive Volcano is filled with cool diptychs like the one above.
She has a real talent for juxtaposing two images — we love the way both images together convey a larger story of caffeinated bliss. And there’s some great visual connections as well — the rhythm of the circular shapes, the reflected metal elements.
Each of these photos is a standout on its own. The froth on the cappuccino looks decidedly yummy, and the steam rising from the espresso machine leaves us in the mood for one more. Let’s not forget that gorgeous, heart-racing red wall. (A bit like when you’ve had too many cappuccinos!)
After viewing this photo, try not to knock over too many people on your way to the nearest espresso bar.
