Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!
Torontoist Flickr pool member David Sleep has taken a particularly nocturnal approach to capturing the city. Each of his nighttime images has a haunting, dream-like quality, with intense colours and blurs of light. His approach makes very familiar sites seems strangely disconcerting. We love the "fog" effect in the upper half of this shot -- in fact it's apparently defocused raindrops on the window of the car he was shooting from. It's definitely worth a click to check out his other images.
(Can anyone identify the benign locale above? It's not a subway station as we initially thought.)

i think it's a walkway outside union station
It's the colonnade part of the condo at King and Church, looking west from the corner. That red awning is Cyrano's Bar.
thanks for featuring my pic here folks. That is definitely a better description of my "work" than I could come up with.
thanks again!
Lee was right about the location. I actually wasn't 100% but I checked with my "driver"
Great shot. I checked out the rest of this guy's Flickr site, and all the architectural/cityscape shots are really impressive.
There are some nice pictures there... too bad they're so darn small! :P
