Streeter: I Speak for the Trees Edition

A long-legged teenage girl is sitting, doing the Metro crossword. A lanky man standing at least six and a half feet bends down toward her. He has a German accent.
Vertically-Gifted Man: Excuse me, how tall are you?
He hands her a business card; it reads “Tall Club of Toronto.”
Vertically-Gifted Man: In case you’re interested. I’m a member.
Vertically-Gifted Girl: (trying to be polite) Okay.
She takes the card and puts it in the pink lululemon bag on her lap. They do not speak for the rest of the ride.

    I pictured her sitting on the floor, and him bending over at the waist until his head was in line with hers, which made the exchange that much more surreal in my mind.
    (I’m 6’3″, can I join?)

    You are indeed tall enough, Rek. According to their official website, the minimum height required for membership is 6’2″ for men (and 5’10″ for women).
