I always forget about the gloves until they start appearing at the foot my stairs.
Also, the way glasses fog up when you go back inside from the cold.

Very cute. I can’t wait for temperatures so cold that if you wear a scarf, condensation from your breath freezes on your eyelashes!

I never wanted to be one of those people who dressed their dog up, but I took my dog to the park on one of the few cold days we’ve had and she was shivering a lot. So I bought her a coat. I make myself feel less embarrassed by pointing out that her hair is really thin (she was a malnourished stray from the shelter – she’s gotten healthier but her hair is never going to be as thick as it should be.)
The thing I forgot about winter is just how much I hate it from the bottom of my soul. Before it came I had all these romantic notions of sitting by the fire, drinking hot chocolate and playing in the snow with the dog. Then I found out that the dog hates snow, and remembered that I don’t have a fireplace.

This comic is so very true. I HATE salt-encrusted jean cuffs. Incredibly annoying.

there’s a lady down the street from me whose dog wears a fur coat. a poodle, in what looks like a tiny mink coat. if that’s not the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever seen, i don’t know what is..

Ahh the gloves….What about the wet sock when you walk right near your door, forgetting about the pooling water. Arghh!

What kills me is the shoes, damnit, the shoes! I hate seeing my shoes ravaged by salt each winter.

My favourite part of that drawing is the uncomfortable shoulder-forward, hands-crossed posed that is so characteristic of the middle seats. Oh, I know it well.

Ha. My $250 Chip and Pepper jeans have FAKE salt encrusted on the cuffs.
P.S. I got them way on sale.

I love how everyone is chatting about their own forgotten winter things!
Another one I forgot about is when you are standing on the street outside and you see person after person wipe out in the same slippery place. Hilarious, but sad too.

Karen: Don’t front! You know those C&Ps are acid wash! Embrace it.
As for slippery sidewalks, whomever designs flat shoe soles without any semblance of a tread will someday be shoveling brimstone in Hades. Of course, since most of those soles are on women’s shoes, the fairer sex gets the footwear shaft once again.
