Just plug in your address and your rent, wait with your fingers crossed, and the handy meter lets you know how your rent stacks up against the average for your neighborhood, while the Google map suggests how many blocks over you’d have to move to do better.

    Have you been in your place for a while? I checked up on some of my old neighborhoods and some of them are wayyyy more expensive than they were when I was living there.
    I moved within the last 3 years, so I’m paying exactly the median for my neighborhood. No surprise there, but this could be fun next time I move. Not that moving is “fun.”

    Wow, the other places in my area are at least twice as expensive!
    Of course, they’re probably not crappy little student apartments. For all I know, I’m still paying too much.

    i wish there was a spot where you could put in square footage: my apartment may not have rooms but it’s still pretty sizable

    I’ve been at my place 2.5 years now. The site didn’t have enough info for my postal code, so mine’s compared against the city as a whole. Still, living on Bloor between Ossington and Bathurst, I’m still in the “Low” wedge of the pie.
