Toronto, Grab Your Umbrellas; Harper Flip-Flops on Jintao; Liberals and Conservatives in Dead Heat

2006_11_16rain.jpgI hope everyone has built their ark – it could get wet. Meteorologists are saying a month’s worth of rain – up to 75 mm – could fall upon Toronto over the next 36 hours. If Mel were still here he’d call in the army.

Temporary foreign workers will now have their entry to Canada fast-tracked – but only if they go to British Columbia or Alberta. Ontario wonders what gives?

Guns N’ Roses rock the ACC. Along with prima donna Sebastian Bach and, um, The Trailer Park Boys. My friend text-messaged me from the ACC during the concert last night with this: "This is the most insane thing ever."

I'm glad to hear the Cons are losing / the Libs are gaining support. I was worried that Harper would ride out this minority government, slowly winning enough people over (hiding the Scary Fundamentalist Core of the Con party and agenda) and take a majority spot in the next election.

Not that I vote for the Liberals; as far as I'm concerned in this system the only ethical way to vote is to aim for a minority government. I do that by voting NDP.

Wow... the *leaderless* Liberals are neck and neck with the Harper-led Conservatives.

Wow.
