The politicians at City Hall might conveniently "forget" their election promises or voting record but not the hard-working staffers at the concrete clamshell.
Turns out the city is in the middle of a blitz to collect some $250 million in unpaid fines going as far back as 1975. According to the CBC they haven't been too successful, having collected only $250,000 so far. Even worse, they're driving the police insane. Turns out angry citizens are calling the cops and trying to deny ever getting tickets in the first place. Great job City Hall, just what we need: a bunch of cops peeved over sifting through paperwork.

Stupid City Hall, making people do their jobs and other people pay tickets they hoped would go away...
Yeah, seriously. God forbid cops might dislike their jobs, like the rest of us.
I don't understand what your point is Boy Reporter? You're mad that city hall is having the police enforce the law? what?
Yikes... it's just a bit of understated sarcasm. I don't think it's a bad idea that the city is trying to get money from people who "forget" to pay their tickets.
