Whip Us Into Shape with Whoops

WHOOPS

If theres anything that Torontoist reader's hate, its typo's. Sure, mistaks happin, but it can get realy, realy annoying.

Well, no more; Torontoist is about to begin a full-fledged assault on typos, mistakes, bugs, whatever.

Next time you spot an error or typo in an article, or a bug of any sort anywhere on the site - no matter how mundane - you can do one of two things:

1. If the mistake is in an article, just click the [+] sign that appears below it, then click "Report Mistake" and it'll take you right to your e-mail program, with the subject filled in with the article's individual URL. Just fill in what's wrong and send it off.
2. If it's a bug on the site somewhere, or you just like your e-mail program a whole bunch, you can shoot a quick e-mail over to whoops@torontoist.com and tell us what's wrong. We'll fix it! We promise!

Karen Whaley has just been given the exciting title of Torontoist's first Copy Editor to help the Editors keep the site's content error-free. We could do it alone, but we'll never catch everything; it helps if we have diligent readers on the case.

(A reminder to our users reading us via RSS readers like Bloglines: please set your subscription to Torontoist to ignore changes in posts. Otherwise they'll appear twice; once when they're live, and again if and when they're edited.)

That's it! Next time you spot an error on Torontoist, whoops is all that you'll need to remember.
