Dave Meslin, organizer of City Idol and Whorunsthistown.to is partnering up with the St. Lawrence Centre and CityTV to cram all 38 mayoral candidates onto the St. Lawrence Theatre stage tonight from 7:30-9:30. The panel will be moderated by CityTV's Anne Mroczkowski.
With 38 candidates and just two hours we anticipate that a lot of mics are going to be cut off and that's fine. Politicians and future politicians should know how to give soundbites anyway.

Do you know if this is going to be televised, too?
Why has no one pointed to the most obvious choice for mayor:
CLARKE. He has been hitting the street (literally) for the past year with his slogan: Clarke for Mayor.
Parkdale would be well represented if he were in office.
the only thing i know about clarke is the chalk drawings and that homeless people really seem to like him
Candidate for Ward 19 Councillor and prolific photographer (his Flickr account has 20 095 photos) HiMY SYeD took video of the whole event and will have it uploaded to YouTube by tomorrow. You'll probably be able to find links from his campaign site:

I'm voting for That Guy Under the Gardner.
Q,
You can see the first of several videos I've posted online from last night's 'Who Wants To Be Mayor ? Meet The Candidates' :

or permaling here:

In this first video 18 minute and change titled 'Introductions', you'll be able see 35 outta 38 Mayoral Candidates a la City Idol opening night, there was something of energy to the rapid-fire 30 second intros.
Where City Idol leaned toward youth becoming civicly engaged, last night was a reminder it's never too old to wear purple.
Now to answer where was Kevin Clarke ?
Stay tuned, I went looking for him after the debate...
