Live Baby Live - Week of Oct. 9

Tijuana Bibles_9342

Hoooo boy! Looks like somebody fed us way too much turkey this weekend. We've just come out of our tryptophan-induced comas and realized we lost an entire day. Not only do we have to deal with our tardiness, but also figure out what to do with that permanent dent in the couch.

If you can manage to roll out of the house after stuffing your face all weekend, you can burn off some of that gravy and pumpkin pie (hopefully not consumed together) by heading to a few shows this week. But not the Scissor Sisters. Nope, they cancelled on us, so put those glam-rock clothes back into the closet for a bit, and we'll let you know when they reschedule.

We probably missed something very cool going on this week, so give us a good spanking in the comments, if you must.

don't forget Jolie Holland also on the 13th!

If only I had read this before I hauled ass to the Kool Haus tonight...

Oh man, that sucks...especially having to go all the way to the inconveniently located Kool Haus! I just found out it was cancelled at the last minute, too. :(

A question for any helpful souls out there... I tried to buy a ticket to We Are Scientists at the Opera House through Ticketmaster (the only option, it seems), and they're sold out. Any chance I could get in at the door? I'm not too familiar with venue practices in Toronto.

Eagle Eyes with Spiral Beach at the Gladstone on Saturday night.

hunt peck hunt peck.

Jennifer -- typically, unless you go the scalper route, you're SOL. However, there's a small chance that they might release a few tickets at the door, once they've figured out how many they actually need for the bands' guestlists, etc. Good luck!

Can't wait for New Pornographers, even if I am scared of the hipness level of The Orange Room.
