2006_09_08_mandy.jpgThough we haven't been able to see All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, we have had a chance to ask the director, Jonathan Levine, "Why should the people of Toronto come and see your film?" Here's what he had to say:

"'All The Boys Love Mandy Lane' is a movie for anyone who ever hated high school. we tried to make it raw and realistic, and it's got as much sex, drugs and humor as you'd expect from a movie that centers upon a debauched high school weekend getaway. Beyond that, it's got a rocking soundtrack and a hot young cast. So, I guess that covers it: sex, drugs, violence, a hot cast and a rocking soundtrack. And no family values. At all."

Gotta say, I caught Penelope tonight and was very unimpressed. It just felt overdone and forced, and way too cutesy-wutesy. It just didn't work.

A few very funny moments, and a few very cute ones, but overall not a great flick.

Well, I haven't seen it.

The picks are just films with buzz/films that we've seen that are good. That's pretty much it!
