Public Space Activists' Night Out

In a strange scheduling fluke the Toronto Public Space Committee's film night and the launch of Spacing Magazine's elections issue is taking place on the same night.

2006_9_28spacing.jpgFortunately for us the two events don't actually conflict. Over at the Bloor you can catch The Winking Circle film, about an art collective in Uxbridge that build art bikes, skateboard parks and more. But we all really know that you're waiting for the world premieres of documentary shorts on Manhunt and Newmindspace. The films start at 7pm and are $9.

After you've scarfed down your popcorn and gotten yourself sick on concession stand candy head down to the Gladstone where the Spacing magazine launch party should be in full swing. If you're lucky the Mayor might even be there. $10 gets you in and a copy of the new issue.
