Carlton and Parliament, 10:15pm, Thursday night. A stunned raccoon won't leave the streetcar tracks after getting clipped by a speeding car. A couple of frat boys exit the cab that won't pass the streetcar to see if they can get things moving and stop suddenly when someone mentions "rabies". Eventually the man with bike pushes the poor critter off the tracks as cars honk their impatience.

rabies? ignorant clowns ... when was the last time anybody actually heard of someone getting rabies? yeh, exactly.
hope the raccoon was ok ...
did the frat boys get hit by the streetcar?
It's not an altogether unrealistic concern.
"Despite a drop in rabies incidents over the past few years, Southern Ontario still has the highest concentration of animal rabies in North America."
