Michael Comeau at Magic Pony

If you haven't seen Michael Comeau's posters in Toronto you haven't looked hard enough. Best known for designing posters for gay dance party Vazaleen and being the director of the Cut and Paste zine fair, Comeau is getting a retrospective of his work at Magic Pony.

The Toronto-based artist's work is a frenetic mixture of collage, pop-culture references, all in eye-popping neon. The show, Excretion Escapades: The Cultural Movements of Michael Comeau & friends, opens tonight and runs until Sep. 23rd. Magic Pony is at 694 Queen St. W.
