Free Friday Films Thanks to the Cinema Studies Student Union

You may wish to go to the cinema, but nothing you saw in the Film Friday really tickled your fancy. You may wish to go to the cinema, but you don’t actually want to spend money to do it. Or, perhaps, you may wish to go to the cinema, but you actually want to go and see something genuinely good. Starting tonight with The Long Goodbye.
2006_09_22_elevator.jpgThank goodness, then, for Free Friday Films, held by U of T’s Cinema Studies Student Union in association with Innis Town Hall. Their website isn’t up to date yet, but they do have a schedule; remember, every one of these films is completely free and some are completely ace.
Sept. 22 - The Long Goodbye
Sept. 29 – Infernal Affairs
Oct. 6 – Elevator to the Gallows/36 – A French crime double bill! 36 has never been screened before in Toronto, too!
Oct. 13 – Scratch
Oct. 20 – Muriel’s Wedding
Oct. 27 – Birth
Oct. 31 – From Dusk Till Dawn
Nov. 24 – Flirting Scholar/Unannounced Shaw bros. Film – Yes! A Colin Geddes programmed kung fu double bill!
Dec 1 – The American Astronaut
All screenings are at 7:00 pm in Innis College Town Hall, 2 Sussex Ave.

    Great information.
Both of reasons for why going to fff instead of cinema apply to me. ;)
