I Can't Feel My Tongue

2006_08_11_hotpeppers.jpgIf there's one thing that defines Toronto in the summer besides the sound of gang-related gunplay, it's festivals, and this weekend is a big one. With a bunch of major events going on, it's easy to overlook the smaller celebrations.

But when you're finished slamming at Wakestock, sucking 'em back at the Beer Festival, and trying a little Greek at Taste of the Danforth, head down to the Hot and Spicy Food Festival at Harbourfront Centre. This celebration of all things picante includes dance troupes, an Iron Chef Competition, Spicy Marketplace with cash bar, and in case you're having too much fun, some guy giving a speech on farmers rights.

Sorry, it's a serious issue. Go listen.

The Hot and Spicy Food Festival runs from Friday August 11 to Sunday August 13 at Harbourfront Centre.
