Bloody Weekend, Hot Weekend

This summer is looking as bloody as last summer. Early this morning a man was shot dead on a rooftop patio in the club district. Two others were wounded.

A woman's body was found in a garbage bag in Etobicoke. Police think someone killed her as long as week ago.

2006_7_17park.gifPolice are also trying to confirm the identity of a teenage boy who was beaten to death and who collapsed in Flemingdon Park near Don Mills and Eglinton Ave. E.

The city wants to come down hard on landlords who let heritage properties degrade so they can eventually be demolished.

Power was knocked out in the Annex for a couple of hours this morning.

While it was hot this weekend, we've actually only had four extreme heat alerts this year. Last summer we had 14, that being said, the summer is just half over so you never know.

Finally, please don't leave pets and grandmas in your parked car. A mother and daughter left their 97-year old grandmother locked in their SUV and nearly killed her.
