Bike Locker Program Launched

IMG_8658

The city of Toronto launched its pilot Bike Locker program yesterday at two locations: 16 at City Hall and 6 at the Exhibition GO station for a total of 22 lockers.

For 10 dollars a month (4 month minimum) you can rent one of these lockers to keep your bike safe and secure from theft and even the elements.

It's good to see that City Hall is promoting cycling, especially in its own neighbourhood. Future locations will include the Toronto Island Ferry Docks and various public transit stations.

now THAT'S the kind of parking that should be free with a metropass.

Rannie, it seems like every post you've made this week's made me really happy. First beautifully-painted telephone boxes, and now safe, secure, and inexpensive places to park a bike. Warms my heart.
