The Wrath of King Khan

2006_6_9khan.jpgYes, we followed Torontoist contributor Joshua Errett's advice and hit the Adam Brown at the Boat. It's refreshing to see a band that still truly believes that the rock anthem is not dead.

It's even more refreshing to see a former boy from Montreal move to Berlin and turn into a rip-roaring, crowd pleasing, soul machine. Torontoist caught the first of three shows from King Khan & The Shrines. Khan, his brass section and cheerleader sweated, shimmied and seduced the crowd at the Silver Dollar. Women swooned, men danced and it didn't get out of hand, much.

He plays tonight and tomorrow. We think you should go.
