PhotoTO: Everything In Its Right Place

Last night was the first of two sold out shows Radiohead are playing at the Hummingbird Centre, and it didn't disappoint. To those of you with tickets to tonight's show, have a really great time! If they play Fake Plastic Trees, I just may have to cry in my beer for not being there.

Yes, please post, ticket-holders. I'd be curious to know how much pre-Kid A material they play.

Hmm, is it just me, or did they scrupulously avoid playing the songs most people would most want to hear?

Seems so. I noticed the lack of Karma Police...

They'll play a different setlist tonight...quite a bit different, if other 2-show cities are an indication. The only stuff you probably won't hear at all are songs from Pablo Honey. Understandable why they'd want to mix it up and play a lot of new songs...it's kind of a small warm-up tour for the new album. :)

Understable re Pablo Honey. Great as it was, "Creep" was like a Alice Cooper joke-song that got way out of hand. They don't want to play it anymore and, since the therapy kicked in, I don't need to hear it.

Fantastic show! The new stuff is good, kind of a Bends meets Hail to the Theif.

I'm more of a fan of the bloops, beeps and bass Radiohead.

I have seen Radiohead many times now, and I must say, that the effect is wearing thin. It is a bit too polished and shinny for me at this point. They are a professional band, when once upon a time, they were a passionate band. It seems like they are struggling to stay interested. That said, they are still about 1000 times more interesting than almost anyone else out there. I would love to see more exposed heart and less flash and noise - but maybe that time is past, at least for now.
