TTC Wants Cash From Union

2006_5_30ttcnews.jpgThe CBC is reporting that the TTC will be seeking damages from the union over yesterday's wildcat strike.

The Comission is giving all metropass holders a $4 rebate which will cost the system some $840,000. Starting June 5th users can present expired May Metropasses to get their cash. Yep, this is just what a cash-strapped system needs to give back about a million dollars because of an illegal strike.

I was planning on taking my May pass and writing I BOUGHT A BIKE INSTEAD and mailing it to Howard Moscoe.

Yeah, $4 is great.Really great. They really went out of their way to make riders feel like they are important. In case you can't tell I'm being sarcastic.

Its not surprising to me that riders are the last consideration the TTC would have when it comes to service.

Maybe we'd get more consideration if we had to wear sandwich boards advertising Global tv shows and BC tourism.
