TreeHugger Wants To Hear From You Torontonians!

Green blog TreeHugger wants to hear about environmentalism in Toronto. They've already asked Portland and Austin and both posts were enlightening. As far as we can tell Portland is a bike mecca with bad pizza and Mexican food and Austin has lots of people using windpower but wicked bad sprawl.

The ever inquisitive writers and editors at TH are asking about the state of cycling in the city, just how bad our sprawl is, and whether anyone has used Windshare. But they want to know it all, everything eco-related in our fair city.

Torontoist will be posting his reply very soon and I'm sure that a few of you will go over there just to find faults in his comments.

Cars, cars, cars... Environmental student right here. WindShare doesn't make sense financially yet. Who can afford to pay higher hydro when rent is so high? Transit ought to be more affordable to deter people from driving. More rebates should be offered to fuel efficient vehicles. We waste water like crazy. We can't sort out how to lower our garbage output. We have a lot to be proud of, but still much more to be done.
