Someone owes the TPL 25 cents

library card
There were a box of discarded books on College street the other day. I took one preteen novel that I had read as a kid; I read a few chapters and was sorely disappointed. However, this date-due card in the back pocket is such a delightful find! So much more charming than the thermal paper printouts the TPL dispenses these days. And the importance and respect the card demands! 25 cents if lost or damaged! I wish I'd taken more books from the box.

Anyone want to try and decode the punched out holes along the bottom?

Dory,

You could create good reiki karma by returning your new found library book.

Why? Because the inevitable gasp and awe of the library clerk who receives 'your' overdue book is too delicious an opportunity to pass up.

*grin*

Oh HiMY, I would if it weren't for the big DISCARD stamp on first page. The TPL doesn't want it back. Sigh.
