more on the Yard Sale for the Cure

2006_05_22.yarsale.jpg In this post, Torontoist mistakenly implied that the Yard Sale for the Cure was happening only in the The Beaches/The Beach.

It's time to clear up the confusion. Las year the Yard Sale for the Cure held it's inaugural event in the Beaches, but this year it has spread to 28 different places, including Edmonton, Oakville, Lorne Park, Bloor West Village / High Park, Leaside / Victoria Village, Thornhill, The Beaches and Peterborough
.
How it works is that on Saturday May 27th you host a yard sale (if you register for $15 at yardsaleforthecure.com you get a kit that includes posters and pink balloons and a tshirt) or go to a Yard Sale. The money raised by the things sold get donated to a variety of cancer-related charitable organizations.

On their website, you can located the Yard Sale closest to you. Hope you snag something grand!
