About Face at the AGO

2006_05_10inyourface.jpg Get out your art supplies and make a face. As part of Toronto's Live With Culture program, the AGO is preparing to display 4"x6” portraits created by the general public. The In Your Face exhibit, which will open on July 1, is meant to “celebrate the inviduality and diversity of Canada”. It’s the first time that the AGO is accepting submissions from anyone and everyone. Portraits must can be submitted by June 1 whenever (see comment below) along with the print-and-mail form. The AGO is hoping to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest portrait collection on the planet.

Actually, submissions can be received as long as the show is running. Even when it opens on July 1 they are going to keep accepting them and putting more and more up.

So I'm still confused about this "live with culture" thing. How do you pronouce it? Is it like "I live in Toronto" or is it more like "Saturday Night Live?"

Every time I think that it's the first, I parallel it to "live with Cancer" or "live with this burden that you've unfairly thrust upon me." If it's the second prononuciation, I think the city is swarming with a culture infestation!
