The Star reports that the TTC and eight other crime enforcement agencies have made another arrest in a huge scam involving fake TTC tokens.

2006_4_28hazel.jpgMississauga mayor/overlord (overlady?) Hazel McCallion is indestructible. Her car hits a light pole and not only does she escape serious injury she also doesn't miss a beat and keeps on working.

Councillor Karen Stintz accuses the city of prostituting itself to developers. Which now begs the question, who's the city's pimp? Torontoist has a few answers.

Jane Pitfield wants panhandling outlawed citing the safety of tourists, residents and city councillors.

Sushi lovers and ecologists rejoice. The LCBO and an Australian wine company will be reintroducing Atlantic Salmon to Lake Ontario.

The Star also points out that the city's roads are going to see more sinkholes like the one on Sheppard. The next sinkhole just might be on a suburban stretch of Yonge Street.

Just a quick reminder but City Idol's first event is tonight, 7:00 at the Danforth Music Hall.

The person arrested in the TTC scam is named 'Slowly'. I think his name is the real reason he was arrested.

Stintz's comments are especially interesting when you consider how hotly she went after Moscoe last month when he said he'd leave "walking the streets" to Nunziata.
