2006_4_12bucchino.jpgToronto doctor Gino Bucchino will be representing Italian ex-pats in the Italian parliament after winning a tight election. He'll be representing all of North America.

West side cheesemaker Mario Pelosi makes damn good ricotta. Actually he makes the world's best ricotta, and that's not just Torontoist being proud of fellow Torontonians. Judges at the World Cheese Championship gave the nod to Mr. Pelosi of International Cheese Co. He led the Canadian delegation to a third place finish behind the US and the Netherlands.

2006_4_12cities.jpgJust so we don't get an inflated sense of our self-worth Torontoist wanted to point out that Mercer HR only put us in 15th place on their annual Quality of Living survey. John Godfrey will be stepping out of the race for the Liberal leadership citing health problems.

A golf club manufactured in the GTA will be adding to the space junk problem. A Russian cosmonaut spending time in the International Space Station will be hitting a gold-plated golf ball with clubs made by Element 21 Golf Co.

The executive director of Catholic Children's Aid Society admits that the death of five year-old Jeffrey Baldwin was a huge flaw in the system.

Were the cops watching three of eight victims in this weekend's biker massacre? Also does the city need to be stricter with handing out tow truck licenses because of possible links to bike gangs? The mayor doesn't think so.

A Scarborough teenager was swarmed outside his Scarborough high school. He received a knife wound to the back but will recover from his injuries.
