Performing tonight at The MOD Club is Australia’s gorgeously enchanted, lushly tuned Sia – full name, Sia Furler. Her name may not be familiar to most but her incredible vocals undoubtedly will. She’s earned much recognition from singing backing vocals on a few Zero 7 tracks a couple years back and more recently Torontoist’s favourite HBO series, Six Feet Under used her song Breathe Me in the very final scene of the series closer. Yes, if you’re on board with the SFU love, you’ve most definitely heard of our most precious Sia.
Currently, she’s on tour playing 13 dates across North America and Torontoist is thankful she has blessed our city with her only Canadian showing. Australia and the UK have known for years she’s worthy of our ears, it is finally time for us to pay her some loving attention. Do give her a listen.
If she still hasn’t warmed you, maybe her opening female duo Eagle and Talon will sway you? Either way, it promises to be a beautiful night and Torontoist hopes to see you out.
