A nutty UCLA prof assigned actors in his graduate level acting class to read and act out blog entries.
Appropriately it was the Kerry/Swift Boat scandal, one largely fuelled by right wing bloggers, that inspired Professor Mel Shapiro. "I got fascinated with these bloggers who were doing investigative reporting with this incredible passion and wondered if there was a way of putting this kind of thing on stage," he's quoted in the LA Times.
The actors, many of whom are a little tech-shy, will be acting out pieces inspired by blogs such as the left-wing group blog Daily Kos and DC intern, turned blogger turned author Washingtonienne as well as pieces inspired by Marie Antoniette fan sites and one based on serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
Of course, being the narcisstic bloggers that we are we're wondering who'll play Torontoist, on stage or on screen.

Newsstand: November 23, 2009
Torontoist would be enacted by runaway American actors pretending to be Canadian (as by appending “eh” to every question).
joe clark would be played by an older, more wrinkly paul gross. the movie might be a little boring, since joe clark doesn't have a real job. all the actor would have to do is stay at home, make fun of poor people's houses twice a month, drink his own pee and occasionally write a nasty comment or letter.
Ok kids, don't make me pull over and go back there.
