And all of a sudden, Buffalo has a sense of humour

Sure, it's adding insult to injury and all that. But really...Buffalo? Making fun of us? When was the last time anyone in Buffalo could make fun of Toronto? Please! Buffalo - the city of nightly house fires and gas station robberies. Unbelievable. Americans are so arrogant.

Andrew Peters, born St Catherines, ON. I guess that's close enough to call the US.

erm...who cares? I mean, regardless of what they say they still have to live in Buffalo right? Can't we just keep on forgetting that it even exists?

Terribly arrogant for somebody who has never been in a playoff game himself. I wish Buffalo an early, first round exit.

i believe the context here is hockey, right? a GAME.
i guess i missed when it became a geopolitical bashfest. get off your high horse toronto and realize we are all a region here. i do turn a blind eye to your 70,000+ homeless asking for money when i come to spend my money in your city, therefore giving torontonians jobs. keep in mind Buffalo was the 7th largest city in the US in the early 1900's. this country and this city have seen farrrr more days than toronto. it's only been since the 1970's since toronto exploded. toronto has more than enough time in front of it to decline. Buffalo's fall, though it has been coming back (your house fires comment is very 1979) has much to do with American culture yes. it's not Buffalo's fault. Buffalo is far more canadian than it is american... so take a look at your future.

Why did Peters get booted for that anyway? I mean c'mon it seemed like a pretty funny joke to me. It wasn't inappropriate for kids. I mean we probably can't print some of the things they say to each other during games, right?

hey this was just a sarcastic jab at the arrogance/sensitivity of leaf nation...and how in their fanaticism, they drag up ridiculous regional differences (aka don cherryisms) all the time. no bigs.

That was just hilarious. Maybe YOu need to grow a sense of humour?

I second that: No bigs, guys. I found the golf swing and the jab funny.

I love that, a whole paragraph spent looking down your nose at Buffalo, then ending it with "Americans are so arrogant." Anyways, that whole nasty little episode never would have happened if one of the Leafs have accepted his invitation to fight. Serves them right.
I would have gone up a club if I was Peters. Fore!

I love it! ahh better days! I so miss humour in hockey. society (and hockey as an extension) tends to take it self so seriously.
Did'nt Sundin do something crazy like 4 years ago? anyone remember my memory is so bad i recall getting a kick out of it though.
please post if you remember.

hahaha. the golf swing is hilarious!
