Torontoist was visiting Dora Keogh's pub for the first monthly CommonPlaces drinks night, when he noticed a sign for the Ben Chin Meet and Greet. It seems that everybody's favourite Liberal candidate was going to be having a minor campaign event. Torontoist would have to say that Chin was an absolute gentleman, he even spoke to us about how impressed he was with his riding association, "one that couldn't put together an event for 15 people a year ago."
Judging by last night's turnout the Liberals of Toronto Danforth have got that down pat. They can not just get people to come out but celebrities too. We spotted former ballet star Rex Harrington, Star columnist Antonia Zerbisias(who Torontoist had a nice chat with) and Health Minister George Smitherman (who scared Torontoist) all lending star, media and political power to Chin's event.

I was there last night too, also by accident. We always go to Dora's for a pint of Tankhouse after rehearsal. Also spoke to Ben. Seems nice enough.
Thank you for this.
Gotta give him credit for putting himself out there. I almost literally ran into him and a knot of his supporters at Gerrard India Bazaar the other day. I'd have to say I'm a Tabuns gal, but Chin did look awfully presentable.
