Torontoist was walking around Kensington when he spotted this. A driver trying a difficult driving maneuver (we believe it's called parking) backed up just a little too much and into the side of this house. Why the big fuss for a fender-bender? Turns out the car hit a gas main which is why nearby firefighters are out in force making sure a chunk of Kensington doesn't look like a Bruce Willis film.

Ah, the legendary Toronto drivers...
oh yeah, they are *much* worse than montreal drivers.
... oh, by the way, i was being sarcastic.
oooh, dis!
Hah. I live across the street and the gas stench was insane. The leaking pipe was pretty loud as well. When the woman driving the car first got out after her parking job failed she was pretty upset and looked awfully confused.. shock perhaps. She did seem in good shape physically though. A neighbour ran over to her and had to pull her away for fear of a big bang... once the fire crews showed up they had a few hoses trained on the spot until the gas line was shut down... I'd say it was leaking for a good 15-20 mins before they shut it off.
I also took a couple of pics.
