Stephen Lewis, Canada's Hardest Working Diplomat

2006_3_6lewis.jpgCanada's hardest working diplomat doesn't work for Foreign Affairs and he's never been thought of as a possible Liberal leadership candidate. Torontoist argues that that man is Stephen Lewis, former Ontario NDP leader and current UN envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa. And lucky for you he's speaking for free at Ryerson (Jorgenson Hall, POD 250) tonight 6:00pm.

Lewis has been in Canada a lot over the last year due to his delivering the Massey Lecture, but when he's not delivering lectures to packed halls across the country Lewis is tirelessly travelling the world advocating for more funding, awareness and action on the HIV crisis.

Along with being Canada's hardest working diplomat, we also think he's possibly Canada's best public speaker. Don't believe us? Listen to part one of his Massey lecture (available at the above link) and see if you agree with us. Or better yet, go tonight, and see and hear him in the flesh.
