Mash-up: Sign of Spring vs For Sale Sign, Apocalypse Now?

pigeon.jpg Taking her cues from the neighbourhood, this pigeon (pictured here through the wonder of BlurryVision) nestled into her own new downtown enclave over the weekend. Taking shelter in one of the posh armpits of everybody's favourite condo sales centre, the pigeon, who we will call Bernice, revealed yet another potential purpose for the building: giant bird house.

pigeon.jpg As the developers rush to add "aviary" to their design and pr statements, we will send for reinforcements and await the arrival of giant birds.

Meanwhile, if Bernice has an agenda, we trust she will make it known by lending her own decorative flair to the facade, bombing its hard-to-reach places in full view of its grafiti-deterring security cameras.

*Edit, March 29, 2006, The whole nest disappeared about a week and a half ago. A pigeon is for now, but a condo sales centre is forever. Long live Bernice, wherever she is.*
