Officer You Wouldn’t Fine A Young Mother, Would You?

2006_3_23hov.jpgA woman was caught using a fake baby in a car seat as a decoy to fool cops patrolling HOV lanes. While we’re appalled at this woman’s behaviour we are totally impressed by OPP Sgt. Cam Woolley for being so pop-culture savvy:
“It looked like Kenny from South Park was strapped in the child seat,” he said to the Star.
and for really caring about kids in this quote from the Sun:
“We should have given her another ticket because the fake baby she had in there was too light to be in a forward-facing child seat.”
What can Torontoist say, we love a funny man in uniform.

    The woman in question was from Aurora. How come every person I’ve ever met from Aurora has been batshit insane? I will forever golfclap this woman’s ingenuity.

    I once rode a bus from Finch with a guy from Aurora who befriended me against my will at the bus station. He claimed that he hated going south to the big city, or north to Newmarket, because “the air smells funny there.” Okay, then. Cam Wooley does the traffic updates on CP24 when the cops do those holiday weekend traffic crackdowns. He always tells those amusing stories about people driving with their feet, or packing 12 family members into the trunk, etc…

    Cam wooley? sense of humour? I’ve never found his attempted sardonic humour funny. I suppose he must have an audience though. Cant wait until cottage driving season so we get to see his mug on a weekly basis!! blaH!
