Imagine All the People

lennon1.jpegIt's a sad week for anniversaries. 25 years ago today, as anyone who hasn't been living under a rock probably knows, John Lennon was shot by an insane 'fan' outside his apartment building, The Dakota. We inherited a love of Lennon (always our favourite Beatle, with that devious twinkle in his eye) from our mom (actually, since our 25th birthday is almost exactly 9 months from today, we've always suspected that we were conceived out of grief for Lennon's assassination), and we spent a good part of the morning watching Lennon videos on Much More Music and feeling melancholy - odd, since we have never existed in a world where Lennon was alive in the first place. So you should go and read a good piece by someone who has. Then, test your Lennon knowledge.

We'll be joining the hard core fans in taking a moment of silence at 10:50pm, the time of the shooting.

Then we'll probably rewatch Hard Day's Night, or maybe dance around to Just Like Starting Over, or croon out our rendition of Imagine at the piano.
