Ignatieff Ignorance, Pt. 2: Context Message

Last Friday, when excerpts from Michael Ignatieff's Blood & Belonging were posted, Torontoist thought it to be rather old news. Instead, it cause a minor comment fury from Liberal supporters, and included this harrassing email:

Quoting Danielle :

The post was more or less a vehicle in which to make fun of On the Fence and Torontoist blogger J Kelly, and contained little or no opinion on the matter. This ultimately lead to the following questions:

1. Do party campaigners and Liberal supporters (like Danielle) have to filter their opinions/rage through the candidate's office?
2. Did Danielle need to use a question mark in the second sentence of this rant?
3. Was J Kelly right about an Ignatieff cover-up, which attempted to even silence an opinion-less Torontoist?
4. Tories are seizing the day, writing up Iggy's looser lips with the Daily Ignatieff (Although Libs did it first with StephenHarperSaid). Should Tories also watch these unruly Ignatieff-supporting thugs?
5. Finally, why is Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" becoming the theme song to the Tories campaign? Unrelated, we know.

yes I did and saw the PBS special too. Do you really think everyone suffers your foolishness gladly?

Iggy is a Genocide denier and a Uke basher- calling Stalins secret war simply "murder" and "persecution" - that's like saying Hitlers ovens caused "3rd degree burns".

Its not surprising since he works for the NYTimes - the house that Duranty built. Like Ignatieff, he was a compulsive liar - covered up the Holdomor and garnished a Pulitzer too.

I admit it. I concede. Joshua's complete failure to understand the theme of "Blood and Belonging" and the fundamental context of the Ignatieff quote drove me into paroxysms of anger, and I did miss a question mark. But at least I did not miss the basic point of Ignatieff's writings in the chapter on Ukraine. I will try anger management. Joshua should either admit to intellectual dishonesty or intellectual incompetence. Tory glib just won't cut it.

Tory glib?

Danielle stop trying to shift the focus. Ignatieff has been accused of being an American apologist and Neocon collaborator long before his name satirically appeared in this blog.

I hope he gets elected and attempts to win the party leadership only to be foiled by a true Canadian Patriot - and Hall of Fame goalie - Ken Dryden.

This Quisling Ignatieff had better scurry back to his warm enclave while his tenure is still in effect.

Not yet the victims of Manifest Destiny Danielle, not quite yet.

i actually wrote a book on intellectual incompetence. chapter 2 is called, "Blind Love: the story of Danielle and Ignatieff"

i personally hope jack layton will switch over to the libs and become our next pm. what are the chances of that though...

DO NOT hold your nose and vote for Ignatieff. For the sake of our whole country. Ignatieff is marked as leadership material and he may well be a future Prime Minister or Minister of Foreign Affairs. Electing him means a vote for young Canadians coming home in bodybags from Iraq and Iran. How he can even associate himself with the peacemaking party of Lester Pearson I know not - but Please vote NDP, vote Conservative just don't let Ignatieff get elected here!
