The title of 'Kensington's best cheese' shop might be up for debate, but the market's most sensitive cheese-lovers are located at Cheese Magic (182 Baldwin St). Often seen holding their cheeses as if they were holding a small infant, the Cheese Magic employees have garnered a reputation not dissimilar from the indie-pop sensation Death Cab for Cutie - earnest heart-on-sleeve service with moppish hair and low-key fashion sensibilities. The men of Cheese Magic not only have the sensitivity angle down, but they also have a renowned 'indie' charm.
As the reputation of the sensitive indie cheese boys grows, more and more young urban females enter Cheese Magic for reasons other than cheese. And for some, the brooding persona of Cheese Magic employees can prove rather endearing, if not inspiring. Take this Haiku written about the cheese boys as a testament of these indie qualities:
Sad Cheese Magic Guys
Trapped behind a wall of cheese -
Guess the magic's gone
If that's not enough to prove the outright magnetism of young, introspective-looking cheese boys, read this debt of gratitude:
thank you thank you cheese magic, home of pouty part-time cheese boys, part-time poets
Though the appeal of indie cheese-hunks serving free samples of maple cheddar is undeniable, there's still something to be said of cheery service. With their introverted, border-line gloomy outlook, the Cheese Magic indie dudes could do with a little less Death Cab and a little more Postal Service in their diet.

Wow, cute indie boys giving free cheese samples? Thanks for the heads up.
Wow. :\
"As the reputation of the sensitive indie cheese boys grows, more and more young urban females enter Cheese Magic for reasons other than cheese."
Who says its just females entering for other reasons?
Sook Yin Lee shops there. The boys are pretty friendly and cute, I totally agree. They also know their cheese and are quite accurate about the amounts they sell you. When you ask for 300 grams you get 300 grams damnit.
no one says it's just females entering cheese magic. well, not me anyway. this is the common error of wannabe activist, career letter-writer joe clark: i cannot report on what i do not observe. since i didn't observe any homosexual males (i assume that's who you are referring to), i cannot write that they too go to the store for reasons other than cheese. but just because the smitten customers in this case were female, it doesn't exclude anyone, or anything, else from having a crush on a cheese dude. there's absolutely no malice or ignorance here. it's just that everytime i've been, flirty young females are in the shop. and everyone i've talked to and linked to are female. i haven't encountered any homosexuals or bunny rabbits or whatever else, so i could not publish such an occurrance. if you can identify anyone or anything else that would fit into this post, email me, then i will make ammendments to the post. okay, OP??
hey hey, i wasnt finding fault with your article... i was just sayin that the boys that work there are hot/"cute" and really nice... and i happen to know lots o boys gay/straight that go in there cuz they know their cheese, and are easy on the eyes too...
