The New It Spot

2005_10_6subway.jpgThe New It Spot has no fixed address, a $2.50 cover charge and unfortunately closes too early. Yes, we’re talking about the subway. Torontoist’s Sean Lerner has written about last week’s knit-off, on the TTC, we’ve also written about Subway Parties and now we have Toronto’s Live with Culture campaign gussying up Eglinton station and 10 subway cars.
Sadly, drinking on the TTC is still highly discouraged. As for picking up that hottie reading today’s Globe, we’ll leave that up to you.

    What’s not to like Kevin. I moved here from Vancouver and I’m having a way better time here. Sure I curse myself in January-February but the other 10 months of the year I’m as happy as a clam.

    I went to Eglinton during a scheduled event and it ended up being a pretty weak break circle compared to the ones that people form by themselves.
    I asked the station attendant how I could find a “culture car”. I knew one was scheduled to run tonight from 7-10 but she said they don’t tell her anything.
    I am going to try to find a few more all month, but nobody seems to know how to find an event, and the only event I found was pretty lackluster. I must say, though, the panoramic photography of Yonge St. was really great!
    I am still hopeful. Maybe one month they will ask _us_ to do it the right way :)
