Joseph Travers is like many people in Toronto: he wants more people to use public transit. He has an idea: have as many businesses as possible offer discounts to TTC Metropass users. He's teamed with the Sierra Club and they now bring you MAP: Metropass Affinity Program.
MAP has several stores on board already, mainly environmentally friendly businesses. They're hoping bigger chains will participate too.
Like the idea? Tell your local neighbourhood shops to participate, write the TTC and your city councillor, and keep Joseph pumped by telling him what a great idea it is. If you have the time and inclination, tell him you'd like help - it's a volunteer run effort. See here for details.
MAP hasn't officially launched yet, but in the meantime your Metropass can get you some culture deals. Stock up!
