BirdTO

So there we were, in the middle of our annual shareholders meeting, when SPLAT! This bird flies into the window. So I turn to Jeff from Mergers, and I say, "You know, that wouldn't be the only bird-brain around here!" Can you believe it?

No, not really. But apparently it's true: Lots of birds are flying into office windows. But not necessarily during corporate board room shananagans, as suggested, but moreso at night. Birds are attracted to light at night, and fly into high-rise windows. But are we sure we're not talking about giant moths here? Mothra, even? And if our feathered friends are in fact dying from these collisions, why isn't Bay Street and the like littered with dead birds? Sounds like more squawking from bird lobby groups.

uh..don't ask why I know this, but check out flap.org Fatal Light Awareness Program. Perhaps "The Colonel" gets some.

Bird lobby groups? Love it...

My wife and I were chatting about office lights the other day. I think office buildings should leave one floor on, and one floor off at night. That way they're using less energy.

Remember saving energy anyone?
