Friday This and That

template2002_r1_c4.gif
- Word on the Street this Sunday. And this year’s line-up looks great. The site doesn’t say when each author will speak (annoying) so you’ll just have to make a day of it. TOist crush D Bez will be at the Toronto Book Award tent, along with Paul Smith spokesman Russell Smith. Sheila Heti, David Layton and numerous others will read. And TOist, along with a handful of great local bloggers, will participate in a blog panel at 4:15pm, thoughtfully organized by Spacing’s Matt B.
- Navigate the Streets takes place Saturday, and you can still enter.
- We’ve added a whole new whack of lovely links to our blogroll. Drop us a line if we’ve missed yours.
- And on a final sad note, we’re getting wider. Best quote from the Star piece on expanded transit seat size: “They might want to take an impression of Moscoe’s butt so big-ass people like he and myself have room to sit.” Free TOist pins to anyone who can get an impression of the fair councillor’s posterior.

FYI, when I click on a name for one of your staff, it takes me to a list of The Gothamist’s staff.
And was wondering whether my blog was left off the links accidentally or for a reason. Cool either way, but you asked…

    Awesome!
By the way, if any of you TOist people want to review any of the bands playing at Indieweek, drop by the Brunswick house tonight at 9pm, and I’ll give you a wristband that’ll get you into all the shows of the festival this weekend…

I agree the lack of schedules for the different tents is very annoying. Thanks for posting the time for the blogger panel though.
