Ist List: Best Slice # 2

Back on the pizza tip, Torontoist scopes out College Street's best slice at....

massimos.gif2. Massimo's Pizza and Pasta (302 College)
Massimo's pizza should be a benchmark for pizza excellence in this city. Just up the street from Amato's (the more popular and slightly controversial #4 pick), Massimo's has everything you need in a slice: hotness, freshness, oiliness, cheesiness, softness, authenticness. Absolutely dripping with cheese and oil, a Massimo's slice is perhaps the most authentic Napolitano 'za on this list. Best to just plunge in and get a whole pie rather than a slice. Open very late and serves alcohol.

I don't care what anyone says, Massimo's has the best pizza in the city. Especially when it's fresh out of the oven (drools).

horrible choice...Can I have a pizza with all that grease? Come on Josh...you are out of your element

Last time I was there, the pizza maker was complaining that his life was better back in Honk Kong where he was a kickboxer.

Apparently (& not surprisingly), kickboxers get laid more than pizza makers.

I'm hoping that Pizzaiolo is #1.... man, I love that place.

I don't know how old this picture is.. but I've lived down the street from Massimo's for a year now and it looks 10 times more run down in its current state. But yes, if you want a giant piece of pizza, this is the place to be.

Yeah, when did Massimo's look like that? I love Massimo's, and it has everything to do with the lovely mix of cheese and grease.
