Hand Over the Money And Nobody Gets Hurt

Following one of those ‘lower court rulings,’ Apple has agreed to give consumers back the levy charged for I-Pod players bought in 2004. Good. That surcharge was redonk. If we are to believe Apple, they are inclined to agree since they are pleased to offer the money back. But one mystery still remains, citizens of Torontoistville: Now that we’re through the legal wax, how do we claim our cheddar?

    I can use the money to buy a gun and shoot iTunes because I woke up this morning and suddenly it “cannot locate” half my MP3s. wtf. I am not plugging in/updating poor little Ichabod until this problem is fixed, but I don’t know how…

    Here’s what I read. Hope it helps.
    Common causes of corrupt or missing songs are improper disconnecting of the iPod when updates are being done on the iPod or physical wear and tear of the iPod. To correct issues regarding the database, either resync your iPod with its home computer or if this fails, run a software restore of the iPod with the iPod Software Updater found on your iPods CD or on Apple’s website.
