Film Fridays: If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It

1147241.jpg- In this case that unbroken thing is Bill Murray. Plop him in your movie, give him a track suit or two and let the camera hold on him for long spans of unspoken time. Cinematic gold. In Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers, Murray plays Don Johnston, a man who learns he may have a child, and begins a comic quest to track said child down. Bill Murray in a Taurus. What else do you need?

- What else? We'll tell you what else. Finally, finally, finally we get to see RIZE, photographer David LaChapelle's doc about krumpers in downtown L.A. We've been to downtown L.A., and can understand why that place could turn anyone to a life of clowning. Plaster a smile onto your face, and go.

- Look at Me is at the reps. It's a beautifully acted film, if you go in for beautiful acting.

- And lastly, The Best of Bravofact shorts comes to the Distillery on Tuesday. A handful of great shorts outdoors, with hops. Go, while Summer still affords you such sweet pleasures.
