Torontoist knows how summer operates. It encourages all sorts of things, and we're not just talking about the recent popularity of mint juleps at bars and the fabulous boho skirted look for girls.

Summertime is just like your favourite rich friend who doesn't have to work: he shows up and uses his sweet influence to enforce a two-month long sexy party. It always works, especially because the warmth makes us feel extra racy and free (or maybe the lightheaded sensation we have is from excessive drinking in the humidity).

This week, Torontoist's Ist List observes and encourages one of Summer's favourite activities: the outside make-out session. Every day we will feature a new spot for getting it on, and we certainly invite you to submit your own field reports!

5. Queen Street West (the random, unplanned gropefest)
Quick! Dive down an alleyway on Queen West, or just stop on a park bench so it's slightly less obvious that you're about to make it with your date. It's pretty certain that most outside canoodling starts unplanned, but if you're in the heart of downtown getting to an undisturbed location can be tricky. Alcoves and doorways make for a good choice (the support of a wall works wonders for a quickie), but make sure to look for security cameras. Also be polite to any homeless people sleeping around you. And while the darkness will work to your advantage, keep your safety in mind: everyone likes to be an exhibitionist but no one likes the harsh reality that is creepers in the shadows getting off to your getting off.
