They Should Stick To Serving Fried Rat
When it comes to animal rights, count on Torontoist to deliver all your vegan and vegetarian news. This week, over fifty Toronto-area KFC managers received a copy of PETA activist Pamela Anderson's video (no, not that video, LOL). Anderson sent a tape depicting graphic torture of KFC-owned chickens before they end up in batter, in a radical effort to at the very least change the company's handling of their stock. KFC currently places still-living chickens in scalding hot defeathering tanks. If the chickens survive the defeathering, they are often grabbed by the legs and smacked against a hard surface at least until they stop screeching in pain.
Anderson, an known animal rights activist, included a letter persuading KFC middle-men to take issue with CEO John Bitove (parent company Priszm) to address these abuses. Watch videos of KFC brutality here, but not until after lunch.

we just went to KFC, you loved it!!!! and said the coleslaw with the popcorn chicken was "magnificent"....what gives?
I love the popcorn chicken but the green slaw i'll pass on. In the old country we used to chop their heads off on a wooden stump and watch them run around with blood spewing, now that was torture.
