Bloorstock is a bad name.

2005-06-10-bloorstock.JPGUsing ‘stock’ to describe a festival/event is lamos like John Stamos. Woofstock was at least a somewhat funny play on words, but calling a little street festival complete with a children’s village and craft centre Bloorstock is as poorly thought out as this post. Stocks used to be cool, but now they’re just boring.

Bloor Street’s stock takes place Sunday June 12th from noon to 6pm on Bloor Street between Spadina and Bathurst. The street will be closed off to cars. There’s going to be live music, a food court, a kids place, an area to buy stuff, and Jowi Taylor of CBC’s Global Village is MCing.
