map.gifYou might remember a few weeks ago when Torontoist posted a Bell Canada Amazing Race-type event in Toronto this summer. Well, there have since been some revisions. Torontoist regrets the error. The post should have read:
Rob and Amber types take note: Navigate the Streets runs its annual Amazing Race-style contest on August 13 in Toronto. NTS will provide the opportunity to run around the city like a you-know-what. It’s just like on the show, but without the corporate sponsors. Listen:

Think fast on your feet. Locate 10 valid checkpoints around the city. The fastest team to complete the race wins.

At this point, everyone should know that Casa Loma will be involved somewhere in this. Participants get T-shirts, energy drinks, and the chance to win a free trip to Montreal. A portion of the proceeds also goes to Right to Play, an international organization working to enhance the lives of disadvantaged children through sport. Sexy!

    unfortunately there isn’t the national championships in montreal anymore. from the may 1 post to the nts blog:
    Unlike 2004, we won’t be staging a National Championship. The teams who made the trek to the finals in Montreal last year seemed to have a lot of fun, but we got feedback from a bunch of teams that they’d prefer us to put more emphasis on the race in their city and have more and better prizes for the top teams. So, that’s what we’re going to do.
    it is still an incredibly cool city race for which i have already registed. aug 13 here i come!
